Ben Horner
Ben Horner is a freelance play-by-play broadcaster and sideline reporter based in Boston, Mass. Ben primarily covers soccer, hockey, and baseball for Northeastern University, and has also been known to grab a headset for basketball, volleyball, field hockey, swimming & diving, and football. Not shy about taking on new sports, his motto is "give me a mic and I'll give it a shot!"
In addition to his work at NU, he has also called games for Dartmouth College, Providence College, Boston University and others, including work featured on NESN, MSG Network, Learfield Sports properties, and ESPN Radio.
A native of Poughkeepsie, NY, Ben graduated from Northeastern in 2013, then headed west to cut his teeth calling summer league baseball in California and junior hockey in Texas before making his way back to the northeast to shift his focus to freelance work. He currently resides in Somerville, Mass., with his wife Margaret.
