JT Crabtree

 JT Crabtree is living out every broadcaster’s dream: to be the voice of their alma mater. Immediately following his graduation from South Alabama in 2014, Crabtree was hired a part-time broadcaster, calling everything from volleyball and soccer to softball and women’s basketball. He has served as the radio voice of the Jags since 2018, calling Jags Football, Men’s Basketball and Baseball.

Crabtree has been on the call of several highlight in recent South Alabama history, including football’s upset win at Oklahoma State and the program’s first-ever bowl victory in 2023, and baseball’s 2021 Sun Belt championship team that eliminated #14 Florida 19-1 in the NCAA Tournament. He has also freelanced with the Sun Belt Conference on ESPN+, and the Buffalo Bulls and Ohio Bobcats for Learfield.

A Mobile, Ala. native, Crabtree is the two-time winner of “Mobile’s Best Sports Radio Host” by Lagniappe Weekly, Mobile’s readers’ choice awards. Crabtree resides in Mobile with his wife Kimberly.
