Tom Cavanaugh

Tom Cavanaugh is in his eighth year as a sports broadcaster in the metro-Detroit area. He currently is the play-by-play voice of the United Shore Professional Baseball League, Macomb Community College athletics and Saginaw Valley State hockey. He recently called multiple Regional Finals and PSL Championships in the city of Detroit on The Prep sports network.

Cavanaugh has called games for 15 different organizations across seven different sports with his work being featured on multiple streaming platforms including FloSports, RokuTV, Amazon Fire Stick and YouTubeTV.

Tom played college baseball at Capital University as an outfielder before transferring to Michigan State University to complete his degree in 2022. At MSU, he covered several different sports with BigTen Plus and Impact 88.9FM as a broadcaster & beat reporter. Tom was also a desk reporter for the weekly sports show, Spartan Sports Report, breaking down highlights of MSU athletics. Known for his energetic delivery and in-depth analysis, Cavanaugh has earned a reputation for bringing excitement and detail to every game he covers. He currently resides in Rochester, Michigan
