Tyler Byrum

Tyler Byrum has turned a passion of sportscasting into a career. For over a decade, Tyler has broadcasted Division I collegiate events ranging from basketball, baseball and softball to volleyball and lacrosse. Since 2021, Tyler has been the voice of the Ultimate Frisbee Association's DC Breeze franchise - calling games for a sport he's played since college and continues to coach at the high school level. You can see Tyler's broadcast work featured on Fox Sports 2, Monumental Sports Network, ESPN+, BTN+ and various other streaming services. 

Tyler currently is employed at Monumental Sports Network as a Mystics content insider and play-by-play commentator for select high school basketball games. He's a two-time graduate of George Mason University with an M.A. in Sports Communication, focusing on women's sports coverage. Tyler is married to his college sweetheart Ashley and local to the Washington, D.C. area.
